Knitted with hands | Anchored in the Changthang Plateau

Lineage Boutique finds its heart in the high-altitude valleys of Ladakh, where the rhythm of mountain life shapes every thread we create. Co-founded and nurtured by a mother-daughter duo, our work is deeply rooted in Ladakhi culture and guided by the quiet strength of our ancestors. Together, we honour an age-old tradition of Himalayan wool craftsmanship, hand-knitting heirloom garments from fibers that carry the breath of these wild plateaus .

Lineage is more than our name—it is our origin story, whispered through mountains, wind, and time. It speaks of roots deep in sacred soil, of hands that have long understood the language of wool and the patience of slow craft. Here, in the cradle of the Himalayas, our making aligns with the natural world—sunlit days, stone-lain paths, snow-fed winds, and silence that holds memory.

We live gently, create slowly, and move in step with the Earth’s wisdom. The fibers we use—exquisite Cashmere, rare Yak wool, and soft Lambswool—are not just materials, but offerings from animals who roam these ancient lands. Each strand is spun with care, carrying warmth, history, and spirit.

Every garment is a quiet tribute—to heritage, to the land, and to a life lived in reverence with nature. It is our hope that each piece you wear carries this story forward: of place, of people, and of a lineage that continues to breathe through craft.

Raw Hues, Real Stories

Raw Hues,
Real Stories

We don't cover Nature's brushstrokes — we celebrate them

We don’t dye our wool—because nature already did.
Every shade you see is the true color of the animal it came from: warm browns, silvery greys, creamy whites—streaked and marbled like mountain stone. No two garments in our boutique are ever the same. To us, these tones aren’t imperfections—they’re living proof of a life lived in the wild. At our Boutique, we choose to preserve this truth, not cover it. Because real beauty doesn’t need altering—it just needs to be seen.

Zero Chemicals. Full Integrity.

SKIN DEEP

From herder to garment at our boutique, we use zero chemicals – no softeners, no dyes, no toxins. Our wool is untreated, safe for babies, pregnant women, those with eczema, or sensitive skin. Because your skin deserves more than beauty- it deserves kindness.

Whispers of the Plateau

Whispers of the Plateau: Our Exquisite Fibers

Yak Wool "Khullu" {ཁུ་ལུ།}
Yak Wool

Yaks grow a dense outercoat beneath their coarse outer hair during winter to insulate against the harsh freezing cold. When spring arrives, they naturally shed this undercoat called as 'molting' which is then carefully collected by the herders without harm.

Lambswool or "bal" {བལ་}
Lambswool

A lamb's first fleece is like a newborn's touch—delicate, soft, and full of warmth. This first shearing yields the finest wool, a promise of comfort and resilience.

Cashmere or "Lena" {ལེ་ན་}
Cashmere

The Changthangi goat "Changra" weathers the icy Himalayan winters with an ultra-fine undercoat, nature's way of wrapping it in a warmth. As spring arrives, the goats naturally molt, and skilled hands gently comb out the precious fiber, preserving its softness.
